Tahiti type vanilla pods from Ecuador

SKU: 4237

These pods are the result of a cross between Vanilla planifolia and Vanilla odorata. This hybrid was first created by the ancient Maya of Guatemala, but its widespread cultivation began in French Polynesia—hence the name Tahitensis.

These particular pods come from Carmela’s farm in Ecuador, the original homeland of all vanilla species. We’ve spent years searching for Tahitensis of this quality. Occasionally, we would come across an exceptional grower—but always in such limited quantities that it was nearly impossible to offer their vanilla at scale. That all changed when we discovered this remarkable producer!

The authentic flavor of this vanilla, grown in its ancestral terroir, is two to three times more intense and complex than anything we’ve encountered before. It’s with great joy that we share with you these true treasures from Ecuador.

Each packet contains a 100-gram bundle, generally composed of 25 to 35 pods depending on individual weight. The minimum order is 200 grams, packaged in two 100-gram modified-atmosphere pouches. Once opened, please follow the instructions printed on the bag carefully—these pods store very well.

If you prefer, we can package your order in 50-gram sachets at no extra charge. Just leave a note when placing your order.
